Mary J. (Duarte) Perry, 92, of Hudson, formerly of Arlington and Somerville, died on Wednesday, July 17th at the Knollwood Nursing Center in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of 46 years to the late John E. Perry Sr. who died in 1994.
Mary was born and raised in E. Providence, RI, daughter of the late Manuel and Rose (Vargas) Duarte. She resided in Hudson since 1984 and worked for many years as a shirt presser in the laundry industry. She was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson.
She is survived by her son, Kevin J. Perry and his wife Joanne of Middleton and was predeceased by her son John E. Perry Jr. in Dec. of 2012 and survived by John’s wife, Karolyn Perry of Hudson. She leaves her two loving grandchildren, Laura Perry of Hudson and James Perry of Middleton and is also survived by Joyce Burke of Belchertown and Brian Burke of Worcester.
A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 20th at 11:00 a.m. in Westview Cemetery, 201 Bedford Street, Lexington, MA. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
