Catherine Terese “Cay ” McCabe (Daley) passed away on Dec. 19, 2012 at the Mt. Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA. Born in Boston, MA to the late John F. Daley and Margaret C. (Conlon) Daly. Cay is survived by her husband Harry P. McCabe, her daughers Catherine Ann McCabe of Los Angeles, CA, Maryann Ruehrmund and husband Max III of Rock Hall, MD and Elizabeth Ann McCabe of East Lynn, MA . She is also survived by her grandson Max IV, her dearest friend and companion Dr. Edna A. Butaney, her many Aunt, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends and her adored cat MALL-E. The Angell Animal Medical Center 350 So. Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130, dear to Cay’s heart, is accepting memorial donations in her honor. Cay was very active with two nursing associations, GBAOHN and AAOHN , as well as being a lifelong volunteer for the Red Cross and avid supporter of Rosie’s Place and Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.
